CNEIFIO COTHI SHEARS RESULTS 2007
The venue again this year was Llandre Farm, Pumsaint, by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Huw Davies. With the new date being just prior to the Royal Welsh a large number of shearers from all over the World enter for this year's competition including 5 times World Champion David Fagan, World Record Holder Dion King who at the beginning of this year had shorn 866 lambs in 9 hours, and also Paul Avery who in our Open final managed 20 lambs in 11 mins and 30 seconds. This year was a six stand final. Results of the shearing classes are given below. We hope that those of you who attend had a wonderfully entertaining day.
SHEARING EXHIBITION
CNEIFIO COTHI SHEARS TRI-NATIONS COMPETITION WAS WON BY DAVID FAGAN AND PAUL AVERY OF NEW ZEALAND (seated). SECOND WERE WALES' HYWEL JONES AND ANDREW MORRIS AND THIRD WERE GAVIN MUTCH AND HAMISH MITCHELL OF SCOTLAND (standing).

Local boys do well as amongst the six finalists for the junior competition was Alan Jones. Also the first woman to reach a final at Cneifio Cothi New Zealander, Leah Maketoni who was the fastest shearer in the final, shearing the five lambs in 6mins 21 seconds.
Dyffryn Cothi YFC members classes
DCYFC Members Cup winner, Adrian Evans accepts his trophy from Glyn Davies, Chairman of Cneifio Cothi this year.
DCYFC Novice Cup winner, Geraint Griffiths takes his Trophy from Cneifio Cothi Shears chairman, Glyn Davies. Geraint's time for shearing 2 lambs in the Junior Heats was 3 mins 57 seconds.
